From a young age, music has been a passion for me, but it wasn’t until a friend of my older brother gave me a guitar and some chord charts to practice at home. That is when I picked up the instrument and never set it down again.

In the early days, the Beatles, James Taylor, Jim Croce, the Eagles, and all that was current is what I focused on. Through the years, whatever struck my ear, I would learn and add to my repertoire. Some of today’s musical artist I enjoy  include Cris Stapelton, John Mayer, Jason Maraz and everything further back and in between.

Just out of High School I joined my first Rock Band. We had great ambitions and talent and became a local favorite band performing our self-produced shows at area dance halls, doing covers of the popular bands of the time i.e. Lynard Skynyrd, Foreigner, Styx, AC/DC and the likes. I was in this band for about a year but then started playing in Country rock, Jazz, Funk, and classic Blues bands due to better performance opportunities in those genres, broadening my music experience.

In the late 80s I had my first Full Time gig as a duo with Portuguese recording artist, Chico Avila. We used the latest Synth and Sequencing technology to create a full band performance. Soon after I was in a Trio using more of the same technology to enhance our sound. I learned how to use this in my solo performances and today I use looping and drum machine to accompany my act.

The 90s I began employment as a salesperson at a local Music store and soon became manager. Working here provided me the pulse of the local music scene where I began to produce, engineer and record locals as well as stage-manage shows including a presentation for Washburn Guitars at the NAMM ( National Association of Music Merchants) in Anaheim California.

In 1998 the move was made to Monterey and since then have enjoyed performing at a multitude of venues including Trident room happy hour at the Navy Post Graduate School, Custom House Plaza for PAC REP, Holiday music at Del Monte Center, Cafes, Wineries, Weddings, Parties and more. The current schedule has a monthly performance at Chamisal Tennis Club in the Courtside Bistro.
